The CSU-CReATe in collaboration with the Center for Robotics, Automation, and Fabrication Technologies - CRAFT conducted a two-day hands on training on the use of drone technology for the agricultural resource mapping at the Hiraya Hall, Caraga State University (lecture) and City Agriculture’s Demo Farm (hands-on) on Agust 15-16, 2022.

The said training was participated by the select Agricultural Extension Workers (Engineers, Agriculturists, Technicians) and other agricultural frontline workers of the City Government of Butuan. One of the key objectives of the training was to transfer knowledge on the basics to advance techniques of quadcopter drone flight including the aerial image processing and object-based image analysis. Engr. Pierre Anthony Joven, the City Agriculturist of Butuan expressed his enormous appreciation to CSU for the collaboration resulting to the successful conduct of the training which is vital for the resource mapping of high value crops (HVCs) in the city in support to the AgriBoost program.

San Francisco, Agusan del Sur - Earlier today, the Project Team Members of the RS-Value Adding of Agricultural Wastes into Potential Technology successfully presented the memorandum of agreement (MOA) draft between CSU-CReATe and the Filipinas Palm Oil Plantation, Inc. (FPPI) and Caraga Oil Refining, Inc. (CORI) at the Safety Room, FPPI, San Francisco, Agusan del Sur for the research and development collaborations. The said MOA presentation and collaboration meeting was attended by Engr. Jay B. Saday, PME, Mill and Refinery Manager of both FPPI and CORI; Engr. Hope Marie Gocotano, Quality Assurance Head of CORI and faculty-researchers and research staff of CSU led by Engr. Philip Donald C. Sanchez (Project Leader).

Signing Ceremony of the Memorandum of Agreements (MOAs) between the Caraga State University (CSU) through the CSU-CReATe and the Butuan City Water District (BCWD), Taguibo Aquatec Solutions (TASC), DOST Caraga and Kaba-ang Livelihood Association (KALA)

The MOA signing between BCWD, TASC and CSU through the RS-Water Resource Assessment Project (led by Engr. Arnold G. Apdohan) and between DOST Caraga and KALA of Brgy. Baan. KM3, Butuan City and the ES- Sago Processing Technology Project (led by Engr. May Rose B. Osoteo) was successfully conducted earlier this afternoon at the CSU HERO Learning Commons, Conference Room 3. Dr. Anthony M. Penaso, President of CSU, highlighted the importance of partnerships between the neighboring institutions like BCWD and KALA most particularly on the areas of research and extension as it is one of the general mandates of the university. Engr. Anselmo Ang Tian, General Manager of BCWD, Mr. Eddie Richard Lagnada of TASC, and Hon. Gemma P. Tabada of Brgy. Baan KM 3 expressed their appreciation and commitment to the fulfillment of the research and extension projects for the benefits of their respective constituents. Mr. Rik Varela, ARD for Operations of the DOST Caraga also graced the event on behalf of RD Engr. Noel M. Ajoc.
