ABOUT THE CENTER
This research center focuses on the “digital transformation” of mining technology such as web portal for monitoring and evaluation tools, data analytics, collective intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT) based applications, Artificial Intelligence (AI) enabled systems, open-source and green technologies, among others which can help in striving for safe, efficient, and sustainable practices in mineral exploration, extraction, and beneficiation of mining industries in Caraga Region.

Center Goals & Objectives
1.Develop and implement automation, robotics, IoT, AI, and data analytics to optimize resource extraction, reduce operational costs, and enhance productivity.
2.Promote eco-friendly mining practices by reducing energy consumption, water usage, emissions, and waste, while enabling better resource recovery and land restoration.
3.Implement remote monitoring, autonomous systems, and predictive maintenance to minimize human exposure to hazardous environments, improving worker safety.
