Our Story

Office of The VP for Research & Development, Innovation and Extension (OVPRDIE)

The Office of the Vice President for Research & Development, Innovation and Extension (OVPDRIE) is responsible for recommending to the University President policies, strategies, guidelines, and budgetary allocations, among others pertaining to research, innovation, extension Additionally, the OVPRIE oversees the planning, execution, and evaluation of all programs in the domains of research, innovation, extension including essential collaborations with institutional partners.

CSU as ‘The Research and Innovation Hub of Caraga’ supporting sensitive, environment-friendly, ecologically sound, and inclusive economic growth in the area.

Our Services

Research & Development, Innovation, and Extension (RDIE) Services focus on facilitating the practical application of research findings and fostering innovation in various sectors. The services offered in this approach enable the translation of academic or research-based knowledge into solutions that benefit industries, communities, and society at large. Below are the key services involved in Research, Innovation, and Extension:

Intellectual Property (IP) and Commercialization Services

Assist in the licensing of technologies to businesses or the commercialization of innovations, taking them from research to market.

Collaboration and Partnership Services

Facilitate partnerships between universities, research institutes, and businesses for joint R&D projects.

Prototyping and Testing

Use advanced tools like 3D printers and computer-aided design (CAD) systems to quickly create prototypes of new products for testing.
