Butuan City, Philippines - The Department of Trade and Industry-Agusan del Norte as one of the key implementing agencies of the Coconut Industry Development Program (CFIDP) has successfully empowered coconut-based Micro, Small, and Medium-Sized Enterprises (MSMEs) in Agusan del Norte and Butuan City through its provincial marketing assistance and support service initiative called "COCOdev."

In its continued pursuit to elevate the skills of food processors in the province, the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) - Caraga, through its Provincial Science and Technology Office (PSTO) - Surigao del Norte, successfully conducted a specialized training session titled "Perfecting Chips Processing for Enhanced Quality." This event, conducted on July 25, 2024, at the Agri-fishery Processing and Food Innovation Center, a DOST-funded initiative in collaboration with Surigao del Norte State University (SNSU) - Del Carmen Campus in Siargao Island, focused on advancing product quality and introducing cutting-edge technologies and methodologies in chip processing to local MSMEs and stakeholders.

The SUC Fair 2024, organized by CHED, showcases the products, talents, and achievements of state universities and colleges across the Philippines. Held in Zamboanga City, it has grown into a cultural extravaganza. Ms. Karren Llanos Correos from Caraga State University - Cabadbaran Campus represented and showcased food products developed from the Food Innovation Centers of the Main Campus and Cabadbaran Campus of Caraga State University. Visitors are encouraged to visit the booth for free tastes and product sales.
