About Research & Development Services
The Research Development Services Office or in CSU, the Office of the Research & Development and Innovation Services (RDISO), provides administrative support in reviewing and modifying systems, processes, and procedures, monitoring and evaluating of performance, identifying funding opportunities, assisting researchers in grant proposal development, project management support for research initiatives, and coordinating development and implementation of CSU’s policy research agendas, manuals, policies, and work plans, working in conjunction with the Vice president for Research and Development, Innovation, and Extension (VPRDIE), Directors for Extension Services, Research Development and Publication Office (RDPO), Technology Transfer and Licensing Office (TTLO), Research, Development & Innovation (RDI) Centers, Technology Business Incubator (TBI), and the OVPRDIE staff. The Office also serves as the Secretariat of the University Research, Development, Innovation, and Extension Council (URDIEC) and keep records of all the proceedings of the Council. This office also plays a critical role in fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration across the university. This includes organizing and facilitating workshops, seminars, and training sessions to enhance the research capabilities of faculty and students, ensuring compliance with national and international research standards, and promoting interdisciplinary research initiatives that align with the university’s strategic goals. This office acts as a bridge to connect various university departments and external stakeholders, enhancing the flow of information and resources between them. Moreover, the office manages the university’s participation in regional, national, and international research consortia, expanding the university’s research impact and visibility. Through these activities, the office shall significantly contribute to advancing the university’s research, development, and innovation agenda.
The Office of the Research & Development and Innovation (RDI) Services is headed by a director who is a designated faculty. Currently, there are no staff assigned, hence, the need for permanent university researchers, and staff for this office.
The office of the Research Services currently has eighteen (18) Research & Development and Innovation (RDI) Centers, which are headed by the RDI Center Directors. These centers have been operating in the university in the last decade.
