EXTENSION

The Extension and Community Outreach Service endeavors to:

  • Reduce poverty and generate employment through the efforts in packaging, disseminating, and utilizing technologies for rural development;
  • Serve individuals and communities through extension service programs in Sustainable Upland/Lowland Resource
  • Development, Responsible Mining, Human Capital Building by way of improving functional literacy through technical- vocational courses, engineering, education and other fields for practical applications;
  • Attain excellence in community service by:
        • Improving indigenous and rural technology;
        • Supporting provincial and regional development directions through linkages with NGO’s LGUs and other sectors;
        • Cultivating values and culture toward attaining improved quality of life
        • Playing a major role in the making of important and relevant policies
        • Training the lower-and-middle level human resources in agriculture; wood- and mineral-based industries and other related endeavors;
        • Conducting outreach programs on literacy and occupational skills for various sectors in the service area.

EXTENSION COLLEGES

COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING AND GEOSCIENCES (CEGS)

The college building of CEGS can be found along the main avenue of the campus. Built in 1990, it is a double – storey edifice utilized for computer laboratories, faculty offices and classrooms. The building has a total floor area of 480 sq. m. with an average capacity of 200 persons.

The BOT Resolution No. 96-08-17-04 series 1996 created the School of Engineering which offered degree and non-degree engineering programs as follows:

  1. 3-year Associate in Geology;
  2. Metallurgical Engineering;
  3. Geodetic Engineering;
  4. Mining Engineering and the

COLLEGE OF AGRICULTURE AND AGRI INDUSTRIES (CAA)

The college offers Bachelor of Science degrees in Agriculture and Agricultural Technology as undergraduate programs and Master of Science in Crop Science as a graduate-level program. The programs under CAA are designed to provide students with the technical knowledge in crop raising, agricultural chemicals, fertilizers, integrated pest management, seed conditioning and technology, breeding, tissue culture and biotechnology and other areas related to production and quality control in the food and fiber industry. Moreover, it also teaches students about livestock raising and managing a farm or agribusiness.

Through the years, since its establishment in 1987, CAA continue to respond to the needs of the society and pursues excellence in teaching, research and community services by working in close collaboration with institutions in the country and abroad and most importantly with its stakeholders in order to remain responsive to the ever-changing needs of the society.

COLLEGE OF COMPUTING AND INFORMATION SCIENCES (CCIS)

The College of Computing and Information Sciences is a pioneering college offering programs in contemporary topics with a curriculum designed to meet market demands. Students will undergo a rich and unique learning experience with high emphasis on practical skills to boost their competitiveness and prepare them for a dynamic future. Furthermore, our programs are aligned with professional organizations such as ACM/ Computing Curricula and they are well-integrated with professional organizations such as CISCO, Oracle, and Microsoft. The College of Computing and Information Sciences offers five main specializations: Software Engineering, Network Computing, Cyber and Information Security, Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, and Information Systems.

COLLEGE OF SCIENCE EDUCATION (CED)

The College of Science Education envisions itself as an active resource of researchers and teachers of science and mathematics through its relevant, responsive, innovative and sustainable academic programs.

Consonant with the Lasallian tradition of excellence, the department commits itself to the development of scientific and pedagogical skills of its students, transforming them into highly qualified and ethical professionals, who proclaim the values of Faith, Service, and Communion and manifest a Christ-centered leadership in the Philippine society.

COLLEGE OF FORESTRY AND ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCES (CoFES)

COLLEGE OF MATHEMATICS AND NATURAL SCIENCES (CMNS)

The College of Mathematics and Natural Sciences are a group of disciplines that focus on discovering, researching, and understanding the laws governing the natural world. All their efforts are focused on the analysis, description, and prediction of natural phenomena (e.g. magnetism, energy, chemical reactions, ecosystems). Experiments and observation are the basis of new discoveries – which are always supported by empirical evidence.

People who want to study Natural Sciences have a large number of subdisciplines to choose from, such as Applied Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Neuroscience, Physics, Statistics, and others. These subdisciplines are categorized as either Life Sciences, like Ecology, Anatomy, and Botany; or Physical Sciences, such as Physics, Earth Sciences, Astronomy, or Chemistry.

COLLEGE OF HUMANITIES AND SOCIAL SCIENCES (CHaSS)

The College of Humanities and Social Sciences provides a traditional liberal arts education that fosters students’ intellectual growth, teaching students to look deeply and critically at the world around them. Our mission is to educate students to be culturally, globally, socially, historically and environmentally astute, and civically responsible alumni able to navigate an increasingly complex and interconnected world.

CARAGA STATE UNIVERSITY-CABADBARAN CAMPUS (CSU-CC )

The Caraga State University – Cabadbaran Campus commonly called the Trades School in Cabadbaran and formerly known as the NORMISIST Cabadbaran Campus and Northern Mindanao College of Arts, Science, and Technology (NMCAST) ) is a component college of the Caraga State University (formerly Northern Mindanao State Institute of Science and Technology or abbreviated as NORMISIST), with the main campus located in Butuan It is a public institution of higher learning run by the Governments It offers pre-elementary and basic education as well as undergraduate and graduate courses, most specializing in technical and vocational programs.
